Artemisia annua – Fresh plant extract

Handcrafted plant extract from fresh Artemisia annua leaves

This plant extract is made from freshly harvested leaves of Artemisia annua (annual mugwort). The plants are organically cultivated at the Gemüse-Glück market garden in Schmilau (Schleswig-Holstein) – from seed to harvest.

Processing takes place immediately after harvesting so that the natural plant components of the fresh leaves are preserved as completely as possible.

    Traditional manufacturing process

An alcoholic plant extract is prepared for production, which matures over several weeks. Fresh Artemisia leaves are extracted in a mixture of organic alcohol and ultrapure water.

The maturation period of several weeks allows for a gentle transfer of the plant ingredients into the extract.
