Ultrapure CDL - CLO2 distillate - CDL 0.3% - ready-to-use solution 0.5L
Ultra-pure CDL (chlorine dioxide solution) 0.3% / 3000ppmHigh-purity CLO2 distillate - CDL 0.3% - ready-to-use solution 0.5L
- Ultra-pure CDL - obtained from the pure gas phase: There are no residues of the original substances hydrochloric acid 4 % and sodium chlorite 25 % in this CDL, as we only dissolve the CLO2 gas in distilled water.
- CHLORINE DIOXIDE SOLUTION 0.3 %: The CLO2 gas is introduced into the water in a 7-fold gas concentration process, thereby enriching the solution to 3000ppm (0.3 %). According to the biocide regulation Reg. No. 74148.
- pH 4.1: Due to the extraction of the pure gas phase, the pH value is not approx. 1.0-3.0 (as with commercially available ready-to-use solutions), but approx. pH 4.1. A higher pH value is decisive for many applications! You will not find a higher pH value on the market.
- CDL EFFECTIVENESS: CDL is highly effective against fungi, bacteria, legionella, viruses and mites. Use biocidal products with care. Keep away from children.
- PERFECT PACKAGING: Our CDL is supplied in a swing-top bottle. Contact with plastic is therefore reduced to a minimum. Unopened, the gas remains in solution in the water and has an unlimited shelf life. After opening the bottle, use within 6 months and store in the refrigerator. We indicate the production date on every bottle.
Attention: You need a pipette / syringe / measuring cup. Not included with the product.
MEASURING CUP AVAILABLE SEPARATELY ON REQUEST. YOU WILL FIND THE MEASURING CUP AS A SEPARATE ITEM IN THE STORE. PLEASE SIMPLY ADD IT TO YOUR ORDER
Chlorine dioxide solution, 0.3% / 3000ppm. Shelf life approx. 6 months after first opening. The solution is produced by adding the gas to water, not by adding hydrochloric acid and sodium chlorite. It should be stored in the refrigerator to minimize volatilization of the gas.
Chlorine dioxide cannot go bad or spoil, it only loses its effectiveness through evaporation of the CLO2 at water temperatures above 11°C.
Our chlorine dioxide solution can be used as long as the solution has a rich, yellow color. The diminishing color intensity indicates that the CLO2 gas is escaping from the water.
Manufacturing process:
The gas is collected, passed through a cleaning filter and fed into the gas scrubbing cylinders. The gas is enriched to 0.3% by connecting the cylinders in series. This guarantees a high-purity CLO2 solution, free from the original substances.
The system design complies with Andreas Kalcker's specifications to dissolve only the gas in the water.
Alongside electrolysis, it is the cleanest method of producing pure CDL free of hydrochloric acid and sodium chloride residues. The majority of CDL preparations on the market that are activated are produced by incorporating the original substances. This method is simple and cheap, but has the disadvantage that the CDL has a very acidic pH value (approx. 2.5) and they absorb hydrochloric acid and sodium chlorite, which can damage the intestines. In contrast, the CDL produced using our process has a pH value of approx. 4.1.
Application for the disinfection of 1 liter of waterThere are official guideline values for water disinfection with chlorine dioxide:
Usual concentration: 0.1-0.4 mg/l (ppm) free chlorine dioxide in the water to be disinfected.
The WHO recommends a maximum of 0.3 mg/l chlorine dioxide in the end product for drinking water.
Step-by-step calculation:
CDL concentration: 3000 mg/l (ppm)
Target: e.g. 0 . 2 mg/l in drinking water (a typical value for disinfection) . e.g. 0.2 mg/l in drinking water (a typical value for disinfection).
Calculation of the required quantity:
Required volume CDL = 0.2 mg / 3000 mg/l = 0.0000667 l = 0.0667ml
Result:
For 1 liter of water you need about 0.067 ml CDL 3000 ppm to achieve a concentration of 0.2 ppm chlorine dioxide.
Practical dosage:
As 0.067 ml is extremely small, drops are often used in practice.
One drop = approx. 0.05 ml (depending on the dropper).
1 drop = approx. 0.15 mg ClO₂
For 0.2 mg → approx. 1-2 drops of CDL 3000 ppm per 1 liter of water are completely sufficient.
